Hand Blended Loose Incense presented in a glass vial.
Loose incense which has been blended using ethically sourced produce, many of the botanicals we have even grown ourselves.
Incense has been used for thousands of years for therapeutic & spiritual purposes & has roots in Ancient Egypt, China & India.
Loose incense is a very natural type of incense, comprised of different combinations of - Dried botanicals, fruits, spices & resins without any added nasties! With our experience in Aromatherapy we enjoy making blends, which not only smell amazing, but also can have a positive impact on your health and wellbeing, so many of our ingredients are chosen with this in mind. Another great benefit to burning natural incense is that it’s ability to purify the air & it is still widely used by many cultures for this purpose - definitely an extra bonus in our book!
Many people like to burn it over a charcoal disc, creating a smoky effect. However as charcoal burning releases carbon monoxide, we prefer not to use this method & have carefully created blends which release a natural, fresh & beautiful fragrance which can be used with or without charcoal.
Methods of use -
There are a few ways to burn loose incense, without the use of charcoal. You can use electric burners or for a more traditional option (& our preferred choice) you can use a ceramic burner & tea light. To ensure that the resins don’t stain your burner as they melt, you can either add a piece of wire mesh, or some tin foil to the bowl to prevent any mess, or you can either add some coarse salt or sand to the bowl and place your incense on top. We personally like to use salt (pink Himalayan salt is great for this) but why not experiment and see which you prefer? Another option is to add some incense to melting wax, if you use wax melts for instance, - it may alter the scent but you could try burning the wax melt for an hour or two first so that the scent burns off a little. These suggestions will all give a smoke free burn.
Each glass vial is 12ml and we recommend using around 1/4 of a teaspoon when using the incense.
Please keep out of reach from children and pets and never leave a burning candle unattended.
